Parker Mayor Mike Waid was elected to serve the citizens of Parker Colorado in 2012. Prior to being elected Mayor, he served as an elected member of Parker Town Council since 2008.
Mayor Waid and his family have lived in Parker since 2009. He is currently the President/CEO of Mike Waid and Associates, Inc. and the owner/publishers of Search Parker Magazine.
During his tenure on Town Council, Waid worked hard to establish Parker as a pro-business community that also recognizes the need for and supports a strong residential base. He chose to run for the position of Mayor to help lead Town Council down that path and to represent Parker to the County, State and other agencies. As Mayor, Waid plans to continue the pro-Parker, pro-business direction that he has worked to create while serving on Parker Town Council.
Waid holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of New Mexico. He has served the community on many non-profit boards including:
- Space EGGsploration Foundation (co-founder)
- Debbie Jackson Memorial Scholarship Foundation
- Apex Contemporary Dance Theater
- Parker Chamber of Commerce
- St. Matthews Preschool
In his free time, Waid enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, biking, baseball and spending time with his family.
